The NERO Pavé is one of the new breed of "all-road" bikes that started with the North American gravel racing movement, and which has really grabbed a strong position in the UK road riding scene recently - with good reason, as they are designed to take on a huge range of surfaces from the all-too-rare smoothest of tarmacs, through the all-too-common rutted country lanes, and onto dirt roads or bridleways.
The Pavé is constructed from High Modulus (HM) carbon fibres that deliver a lively ride over a huge range of conditions. With road tyres it is a highly capable endurance bike, with gravel tyres you can start to explore a mix of surfaces with confidence, and when fitted with cyclo cross tyres it becomes a fast and fun ride over a wide range of off-road terrain. A true all-road bike that is incredibly enjoyable to ride!
The geometry of the Pavé is designed to offer stability over rougher ground, with a longer wheelbase and greater tyre clearance than in a pure road bike, while still offering a responsive but comfortable ride. All models come with hydraulic disc brakes for the ultimate in consistent and reliable braking in all weathers.
Available in two standard colours, the Pavé is also available in custom colours of your choice for a modest charge - any colours not in stock will add around 5-6 weeks to lead times, depending on the time of year. But if there is a particular colour that you have always hankered after that's a small delay in the grand scheme of things!
Like all NERO Bicicletta bikes, the Pavé comes in a range of standard builds, but is also available for custom specification.
Every standard build features full manufacturer groupsets - no corners cut. From levers to mechs, and brakes to chains, each model is built with complete groupsets from Shimano or Campagnolo.
The NERO Bicicletta range also features wheels and finishing kit from premium brands such as Mavic, Deda Elementi and Fabric.
ALL ROAD GEOMETRY: the Pavé has an all-road geometry with a slightly longer wheelbase, slacker head angle and longer stays/fork blades to accommodate wider tyres than in a classic road bike. The head tube is shorter than is usually found on a pure road bike, in order to allow for the longer fork blades. The rider is placed in a position that is optimised for comfort and stability over a wide range of surfaces.
HM CARBON FIBRES: the Pavé is constructed from High Modulus (HM) carbon fibres that are laid up in slightly thicker tube walls that in a pure road bike, which soak up a little more road vibration while providing increased strength and impact reistance for off-road conditions.
TAPERED HEAD-TUBE: the Pavé's carbon fork steerer is tapered from 1 1/8" - 1 1/2" to ensure high precision steering.
DUAL DI2 / MECHANICAL COMPATIBILITY: the frame is internally cabled, with dual compatibility for both electronic (Di2 / EPS) and mechanical groupsets.
DISC BRAKES: the Pavé frameset is designed for disc brakes only, and features a 15mm through axle fork, with a choice of 12mm through axle or Quick Release rear.
35mm TYRE CLEARANCE: compatible with tyres up to 35mm in size (therefore allowing for standard "knobbly" cyclocross tyres).
