ADVENTURE BIKES

Adventure Bikes

The adventure category brings together bikes that can also be categorised as road, multi-terrain or mountain bikes.

Some are ideally suited to road use, some to extreme off-road use, while others are designed to cover a wide variety of surfaces and terrain types. What they all have in common is the ability to carry you over large distances with plenty of luggage on board.

In essence, the more challenging the terrain or the bigger your luggage load is, the heavier and more robust your bike needs to be – and you’ll also be needing other features that add to the bike’s ability to navigate rough terrain effectively, such as larger tyres, a highly stable frame geometry and wider handlebars etc.

ADVENTURE BIKES

Bianchi Arcadex

Bianchi designed the Arcadex to take you further – further from paved surfaces and to tempt you beyond your comfort zone. The Bianchi Arcadex is capable of taking you on the most adventurous of rides, both in terms of the rugged terrain you can tackle and the luggage you can carry if you are looking to stay out for longer.

Bianchi Arcadex Alu

The all-new Bianchi Arcadex AL has been created for riders looking to adventure beyond the beaten path. Built around a premium hydroformed aluminium frame with clearance for 50mm tyres, the Arcadex AL is ready to take on the roughest gravel and off-road terrain.

The Big Bro is Brother Cycles’ all purpose, tough as nails, 29er adventure bike – built to take you well off the beaten track and beyond. Whether you’re running a lightweight bike-packing setup, front and rear panniers for a ’round-the-world’ tour or stripped back to thrash some forest trails the Big Bro can handle it all.

Brother Mehteh

The Mehteh is Brother Cycles’ premium Reynolds 725 steel gravel frame – a fast and agile drop bar bike, designed for long days in the saddle over the most varied of terrain. The tyre clearances are way beyond what you’d find on the average gravel bike, giving you the option of taking your ride even further off-road into fully loaded back country adventures.

The benchmark for true adventure cycling and racing, the ‘gravel-plus’ Big Kev V2 features wide 29-inch tyre clearance giving you the comfort and confidence for weekend gravel missions or the reliability and speed to tackle bucket-list bike-packing adventures like the Tour Divide. Faster and more agile than a drop bar MTB, and far more capable over tough terrain than a gravel bike.

Curve GMX+

The GMX+ V2 is inspired by the intrepid Overlanders of the 1890s, who covered incredible distances without support across the harsh Australian outback. Curve have designed a bike that can do the same – the GMX+ is an adventure bike designed with massive tyre clearance thanks to Curve’s innovative carbon fork, ultra-wide drop bars for stability, and numerous mounting points for storage or water.

The Midnight Special is an ultra versatile all-road bike designed to provide comfort and speed on those all-day rides that extend well paved surfaces – whether you are tackling roads or rough dirt tracks. Back lane exploration, light gravel, commuting or touring – it has you covered.

Surly Straggler

The all-new Surly Straggler is back. Where the Midnight Special thrives on pavement with all-road versatility, the Straggler starts from the dirt up. It’s a big-tyred gravel rig that’s equally at home tackling back lanes, commuting across town, or loading up for weekend tours.
