The new Bianchi Aria E-Road is the perfect solution for genuine road riders who are looking for a little assistance in extending their riding horizons, while retaining the look and feel of a pure high-performance, race-bred road bike.
The Aria E-Road offers powerful electrical assistance in the background – only when needed. It rides just beautifully without any pedal assistance at all, but when you need a little help (and it only helps – it adds to your power, it doesn’t do all the work for you!) the motor is there for you with super smooth assistance that means you can tackle the steepest of climbs or heaviest of headwinds with ease. When you exceed 15.5mph, or turn the assistance off yourself, the motor disengages and adds no drag at all to your pedalling. When you need it, the motor kicks in with a choice of assistance levels, and with no big jolts or erratic surges, to boost or multiply your pedalling efforts – the feeling is just plain exhilarating. It’s a bit like riding with a controllable tail wind, or an additional pair set of legs!
Make no mistake, the Aria E-Road is a superb aerodynamic performance machine regardless of the assistance, just like the non e-bike Aria. At first, or even second glance you would never know it’s an e-bike. Look closely and there you will see the super discrete control button and the slightly oversized rear hub, but the battery is entirely enclosed in the aero downtube. Sure, it’s a bit heavier than a non e-bike, but that is really only an issue when you hit a hill – and that is exactly when the motor kicks in with assistance that vastly outweighs any extra weight.

The newly-developed Inner Power Drive system has enabled Bianchi to develop a bike with the performance and looks of an aero race frame, while also expanding the limits of human possibility.
IPD – Inner Power Drive System
This next step in the progression of the e-bike market has been made possible through Bianchi’s Inner Power Drive System. This was created specifically for the Aria from the very beginning, and it’s a match made in heaven.
The system uses Ebikemotion’s powerful X35 V.2 pedal assist technology, and at 3.5kg for the entire system (rear hub motor, 250W battery, iWOC One and all wiring) this is the smallest and lightest full-power pedal assist motor that has ever been created. It is simply the ultimate in e-bike motors on the market.
It is the perfect solution for riders with a desire to take on long, demanding rides with the extra power and speed of a trained professional only when it is needed. This extra power adds to, but never overshadows the human powered endeavour and sensation of road riding. It simply gives the feeling that you have more power in your legs.
SLEEK AERO LOOK
This bike boasts a fully integrated and minimalist electric motor and battery. It not only provides a sleek, stylish and low profile aero look but can also be ridden without electrical power assistance with zero interference. The motor creates no drag to the power transition, making the Aria e-Road the true road cyclist’s choice.
This is the first bike we’ve seen where the balance between a lightweight, high performance aero road bike and an e-bike has truly been established.

The X35V.2 M1 36V/250W rear hub motor is extremely powerful, producing 40Nm of torque at the rear wheel, offering optimum powered assistance at speeds between 15 and 25km/h.
Nestled between the rear cassette sprockets and the rear disc brake rotor, the motor is virtually hidden.
BATTERY AND RECHARGING
The X35 V.2 M1 motor is powered by a slim, 40mm wide 250W battery, positioned inside the downtube of the Aria e-Road frame.
A weatherproof charge-port is located discreetly in the upper surface of the down tube, near the junction with the seat tube, for a simple plug and charge operation via any household mains electricity supply.
Bianchi have fully integrated the iWOC One flush-fit power and battery level controls into the Aria e-Road’s aero top tube making it extremely discreet and unobtrusive.
The Ebikemotion mobile app allows the rider to easily integrate multiple data functions into the ride experience. Covering key motor function, battery status, power control, as well as GPS ride direction and tracking. A specific fitness function, linked to rider performance via heart rate bend, allows to control automatically the assist level of the motor unit by selecting a maximum HR frequency, to keep you in the exercise zone that you prefer.
All electronic wiring is internal, sealed away from the elements and danger, completing the Aria e-Road’s aero aesthetic.
