The undeniably classy Stroma is Brother’s latest Reynolds 725 steel all-season road frame – a versatile, year round road bike suited to the ever changing weather and road conditions of the UK. The bike is fast, responsive and most importantly fun to ride (just ask our staff…this is a one true staff favourite). And it has been designed it to accommodate large volume road tyres; meaning you won’t need a different bike for every season or for every type of ‘road’ surface.
The Stroma truly lives up to its namesake; a remote island off the rough north east coast of Scotland, battered by ferocious weather and near impenetrable tides. Constructed out of Reynolds 725 steel; a heat treated tubing famed for its strength and weight saving properties and an ideal material for the challenges posed by year round road cycling. It is then ED electrocoated to prevent rust both inside and outside the frame tubing. Matched with the Brother full carbon road fork up front gives you a lightweight and responsive front end with optimum power transfer. The frame and fork have fitted eyelets for full mudguards and clearance for up to 35mm tyres or 30mm with mudguards.
Other features include thru-axle flat-mount dropouts, replaceable dropout inserts, 2 x bottle cage and rear rack mounts, and Di2 routing. The frame is also compatible with ultra reliable British Standard bottom brackets, and has a deep hard-wearing powder coated finish, designed to cope with the worst of British weather. All in all we believe you will be hard pressed to find a more beautifully designed, engineered and finished bike for taking on whatever type of ‘road’ you fancy…including those with nothing remotely resembling a properly paved surface!
