The revolutionary Kingpin micro-suspension keeps the Topstone’s wheels planted, delivering bags of additional traction that allows you to keep the power on across the roughest of back-roads. It’s lightweight and complexity-free, giving the Topstone Carbon rear-wheel travel without compromising any stiffness when you want the bike to respond with immediate acceleration.
Key to the success and performance of the Topstone Carbon is its frame geometry, offering a perfectly balanced riding position: upright enough for comfort over the long haul and control when tackling technical off-road terrain, yet still low and forward enough for speedy efficiency. OutFront Steering Geometry pairs an extra-long fork offset with a slack head angle to keep the steering light and lively, while still delivering outstanding confidence and stability at speed
and in the rough stuff.
FEATURES
KingPin Suspension: Cannondale’s innovative gravel rear suspension is light, simple, effective and maintenance free. A thru-axle pivot in the seat tube allows the rear triangle and seatpost of the bike to flex vertically, delivering up to 30mm of bump-smoothing traction-enhancing travel.
Big Tyre Clearance: The new Topstone Carbon fits tyres with a maximum measured width of up to 52mm for the frame and 56mm for the rigid fork. The Lefty Oliver’s tyre clearance is optimised for a 700x47mm tire, with height being the primary limiting factor.
Proportional Response: Everything from the carbon layup to the geometry on the Topstone is individually tuned by frame size. So that the bike – including its KingPin suspension – works in harmony to give you the best ride for you and your dimensions.
StashPort & StashBag: StashPort is Cannondale’s take on a downtube storage system, accessed beneath the water bottle cage. Every bike includes StashBag, a specially designed bag for your essentials.
Lefty Oliver: 40mm of travel in a stiff, lightweight design boosts confidence and control for faster rides. And with 100-hour service intervals – double that of most forks – you get more ride time and less down time.
Dropper Ready: The Cannondale Topstone Carbon is built to accept an internally-routed 27.2mm dropper seatpost, which shouldn’t really be a surprise on a bike this off-road capable!
Responsibly designed, so you can ride it irresponsibly. Everything on Topstone Carbon is there for simplicity and compatibility. Threaded Bottom Bracket, standard external seat binder, low maintenance suspension, UDH rear mech hanger – all designed for less down time and more ride time.
