Beautifully Engineered Endurance Race Bike
The elegant Curve Belgie Ultra is as happy flying along on paved, smooth roads as it is travelling across potholed back lanes during a weekend bike-packing expedition.
Curve road bikes have been designed for a wide variety of terrain so you can enjoy bike adventures whenever and wherever you choose, and the Belgie Ultra does it all with a sublime ride feel and the kind of performance that has delivered ultra-distance race wins across the globe.
The Belgie Ultra was developed from the original Belgie (now in its third iteration) that Curve co-founder Jesse Carlsson rode to success in winning the 2015 Trans Am Bike Race.
Curve wanted to develop the Belgie further, with hard pack dirt road capabilities and adding to its load carrying capacity, highlighting the spirit of Australian endurance cycling. So the Belgie Spirit was born in 2016 to take on the 5,545km Indian Pacific Wheel Race, celebrating the rich history of the Overlanders from the 1890s.
Through continuous feedback from endurance riders and athletes worldwide, Curve further developed the Spirit; improving handling, cornering, clearance for wider tyres and it now features ‘bento box’ mounting points on the top tube. As a result, Curve now call this version the Belgie ‘ULTRA’, reflecting its success in global ultra endurance races.
Lighter and sleeker than the Spirit, the Belgie Ultra has thinner 16 mm seat stay tubing and an updated tapered head tube, resulting in a sleeker frame design and considerable weight savings. At 1630 grams, the Belgie Ultra 56cm frame is 180 grams lighter than the previous model.
The Belgie Ultra now features Curve’s Race 370 fork, which matches the frame in having plenty of clearance for tyres of up to 33 mm.
Bento Box mounting points on the top tube for bolt-on bike bags. Curve have also increased the size of the front triangle, allowing more storage capacity for top tube frame bags and water bottles, with ample room for bike-packing bags on all frameset sizes.
The latest Belgie Ultra also delivers greater stability and an improved geometry with longer chainstays, front centre, and overall wheelbase across all sizes.
A taller stack and slightly reduced reach help make the Ultra more comfortable on day long rides. This improved geometry makes the Ultra perfect for those long road miles, but also makes the Ultra ideal for typically rough UK back lanes and byways.

Important Note: Please be aware that due to the steerer length of the Ride 370 fork (300mm), when paired with Ultra frames in sizes 61 and 64 only 10mm and 0mm of spacers will fit under the stem, respectively, due to the longer headtubes (61 cm – 240 mm, 64 cm – 250 mm).
