HOME DELIVERY & COLLECT FROM STORE

As a physical ‘bricks and mortar’ bike shop we are able to offer our customers the choice of collecting their new bike from our store in Ludlow or having it delivered to them at home or work.

Collect from Store

Collection means that we can take you through the features of your new bike in detail, cover basic maintenance jobs, and carry out any final set up adjustments if required. We will set aside plenty of time to ensure that you are not rushed and can take full advantage of our in-depth knowledge of your new bike.

Collections also means that your bike is to ride without any unpacking or reassembly/adjustments.

We include three years free annual servicing with every new bike collected from store (free servicing is not available for home delivery bikes, and cannot be exchanged for other items, credit, or services).

Our free servicing package covers one Essentials Service per year for three years. Details of what this covers are on our Workshop Services page.

Quite a few customers then use us as a base for their first ride, as the riding around Ludlow is fantastic, and easy to get to in a manner of minutes – whether on or off road.

We are also home to Epic Coffee House, which is open Wednesday to Sunday – anyone collecting a bike is welcome to a free drink of their choice.

Home Delivery

We offer a choice of two home delivery services to most UK addresses.

COURIER DELIVERY (AKA ‘BOXED DELIVERY’)

Not available for some e-bikes and most bikes with one-piece cockpits*

*There are some bikes where courier delivery is not available, because it is not possible to pack and ship them safely in a carton or box – for example, some larger or carbon e-bikes and most bikes with a one-piece cockpit. For these bikes we can either deliver them to you fully built and ready to ride using our Premium Hand Delivery Service below, or you can of course collect from store.

Standard courier delivery is free for orders with a value of £1999+ (with the exception of clearance bikes purchased from our eBay store), including bikes*, framesets and wheelsets, to addresses classified as UK “Mainland” by our carriers, APC. Bikes delivered by a courier will be shipped in a large cardboard carton with as little disassembly as possible (see below).

For orders with a value under £1999 there will be a courier delivery charge of £25 for bikes, £20 for framesets, and £15 for wheelsets

UK “Mainland” excludes Highlands and Islands, including: Isle of Wight, Northern Ireland, postcodes AB, IV, KW, PA, PH, and the Scottish Islands. Bike and other items delivered to these UK “non-Mainland” addresses by courier will be subject to a small delivery surcharge as below.

  • For Northern Ireland: bikes and framesets will carry a surcharge of £50; wheelsets will carry a surcharge of £25 per pair.
  • For all other Highlands and Islands: bikes and framesets will carry a distance surcharge of £40; wheelsets will carry a surcharge of £20 per pair.
  • Please Note: we are currently unable to ship bikes to Isles of Scilly, Isle of Man, Shetland and the Channel Isles.

Bikes, frames, and some larger items such as wheels, will be delivered to UK Mainland addresses on an overnight service via a national courier (APC), who will need someone to be at the destination address to sign for the package – for this reason some customers choose to have items delivered to a work or business address.

Deliveries to other addresses, such as Highlands will use a 2-day service, while Northern Ireland will use a 3 day service. Smaller items will be delivered via Royal Mail.

Deliveries via courier are made on Mondays to Fridays – please note that delivery can take place up until 4pm to most areas, and until 5pm in some more remote locations.

All bikes are subject to a full Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI), set up to meet your requirements, and tuned up ready to ride before packing into a robust shipping box.

For courier deliveries, bikes will be shipped with the front wheel, pedals and seatpost/saddle removed, the handlebars turned to one side or placed alongside the fork.

All you will need is a set of standard allen keys, and preferably a torque wrench, in order to reassemble the front wheel, seatpost, handlebars and pedals – we will provide verbal or written instructions on how to do this if you need them.

Please note: with courier delivery we are unable to ship bikes with mudguards/fenders, dropper posts, bottle cages, pedals or racks fitted – these items will be shipped within the same box as your bike, but packaged separately to keep both them and the bike protected.

PREMIUM HAND DELIVERY

We are pleased to now offer a Premium Hand Delivery service by Cycling Logistics, where a qualified mechanic will provide a handover of your fully assembled bike, ready to ride, on your doorstep.

This is a ‘white glove’ or hand delivery service.  Your bike will not be delivered in a box, and will be set up according to your instructions with all accessories fitted.

This premium service offers a number of clear benefits, including:

  • Your bike is delivered “ready to ride”, set up to your measurements, with accessories and pedals fitted. If you are supplying your own pedals these will be fitted by the mechanic on arrival.
  • The handover is conducted by a qualified bike mechanic not a delivery driver.
  • There is no unpacking and reassembly required by yourself, and no packaging to dispose of.
  • Your bike will be safely transported to you in a custom adapted “service course” van and it will only have been handled by trained cycling industry professionals.

If you choose this service you will be provided with number of delivery dates once your bike is being built, so you can choose the one that suits you.

There will be a short delivery lead time following the assembly of your bike in our workshop. The delivery time for this service can be up to 10 days, but it is often shorter than this, depending on the capacity and demand on Cycling Logistics at the time.

This Premium Hand Delivery service is only available for bikes with a value over £1999:

  • Premium Hand Delivery is free for bikes/e-bikes with a value of £4999+, and all bikes with a one-piece integrated cockpit with a value of £3499+ to addresses in England and Wales. For Scottish postcodes there is a £40 distance surcharge.
  • For analogue bikes under £4999 with a two-piece cockpit, or under £3499 with a one-piece cockpit, there will be a Premium Hand Delivery charge of £39. For Scottish postcodes the charge will be £79, inclusive of the distance surcharge.
  • For e-bikes with a value under £4999 with a two-piece cockpit there will be a Premium Hand Delivery charge of £49. For Scottish postcodes the charge will be £89, inclusive of the distance surcharge.

Our Premium Delivery Service is currently available for UK Mainland postcodes covering over 90% of the UK population. This service is not available to some more remote or inaccessible postcode areas: AB, BT, HS, IM, IV, KW, LD, PA, PH, PO30-41, SY17-20, SY23-25 & ZE.

IMPORTANT – Receipt Of Courier Deliveries

All items will be carefully packed to minimise the risk of transit damage – in the highly unlikely event that your item does arrive with damaged packaging please advise the courier on the spot (before signing for the package).

It is important to fully inspect your item before signing for the package as being in good condition – if you are not able to immediately open and inspect the item, please sign for the package as “damaged” or “unchecked” as any issues that arise after the goods have been accepted in good condition will not be accepted by the courier. If upon inspection, the item itself has suffered any transit damage please advise us by phone on 01584 705042 or email within 48 hours.

Please inspect your items carefully, as any claims for transit/packing damage cannot be accepted once the item has been used.
