Urban & Commuting

Urban & Commuting e-Bikes

Urban and commuting e-bikes are equipped for riding in comfort on paved streets. With features such as mudguards to keep you splash free, luggage carriers, lights and pothole resistant tyres with reflective side walls, they are all set up for general urban riding and commuting.
From folding e-bikes for easy transport through to e-bikes with light suspension for rougher streets or extended use for leisure riding on towpaths, gravelled tracks, and bridleways, the emphasis is very much on practical everyday riding.

Sometimes a full sized bike just takes up too much space! If you live in a flat, commute by train or take your bike on your caravanning holiday then a folding bike is ideal.
The Raleigh Stow-E-Way is both a proper folding bike and a proper e-bike with a strong but light frame which makes the bike a pleasure to ride.

The all-new Raleigh Motus has been designed with the latest technology from market-leader Bosch that for some riders could carry them to and from work for whole week before needing charging.
With four colours options in the range, the choice of hub or derailleur gearing systems plus a mixture of frame types, there’s a Motus for everyone.

The Orbea Katu-E is an e-Bike version of their hugely popular pedal driven Katu. Designed to be immensely practical, stylish and fun, we use one ourselves as our town bike.
The Katu comes in a single size with a massive range of adjustability, so anyone can jump on and nip away after a quick switch of saddle height.

The Orbea Optima was designed from the bottom up as a dedicated e-Bike for ‘optimal’ handling in a wide range of riding conditions.
The riding position is perfect for riding in normal clothing, while maintaining great visibility and relaxed “easy-on easy-off” mounting and dismounting, with its step-through frame shape.

The Orbea Keram is Orbea’s most versatile e-Bike, with a range of models that cover three slightly different types of riding.
Keram Asphalt for mostly urban or paved roads;  Keram Comfort for leisure use on a mix of paved and light unpaved surfaces; plus an MTB version for all surfaces right through to proper off-road mountain biking.

The Orbea Gain is remarkable. An electric assisted bike that handles and looks just like a conventional road bike – with drop and flat bar versions.
Once past 15.5mph, or with the motor switched off, it reverts to traditional pedal mode and rides beautifully. With the pedal assistance on it adds to your efforts and allows you to ride further, longer, quicker and easier.
