Kinesis Tripster AT Plus

Much more than a gravel bike

The Kinesis Tripster AT Plus sits alongside the Tripster AT, as a bike for even more challenging off-road conditions. It offers more clearance and increased rough stuff capability that overlaps with terrain normally seen as the preserve of mountain bikes.

“The Kinesis Tripster AT Plus is a tremendous achievement. They’ve taken a classic adventurous endurance bike template and stretched out its tyre clearances to class- leading dimensions without compromising its drop-bar origins. It’s versatile, agile, tough, very well appointed and its quality frameset can be assembled into whatever take on adventure, gravel, touring, or endurance bike you have in mind.” Cycling Plus

Kinesis took one of our all-time favourite bikes and upped the ante terms of the terrain it thrives in. With a highly tuned geometry, developed using every bit of their experience, Kinesis have delivered a bike with tyre clearance of up to 29 x 2.25” tyres so you can have a larger more capable and comfortable tyre, without the rolling ability compromise of a smaller 27.5″ diameter wheel – and all without sacrificing its fun responsive ride feel.

Kinesis Tripster AT Plus

The Tripster AT Plus has a more sloping top tube than a lot of other gravel bikes, giving the rider more manoeuvrability around the bike when the going gets rough. It also has a lower bottom bracket to lower the centre of gravity when fitted with larger tyres and add the stability that you need if you’re tackling tricky terrain or carrying luggage.

“Kinesis have produced an excellent all- rounder. It’s no slouch on the road and it can take on singletrack trails normally reserved for mountain bikes as well.” BikeRadar

Kinesis Tripster AT Plus

For even greater manoeuvrability, the Tripster AT Plus has internal routing for a dropper post. If you’re more of a bike-packer than an extreme gravel riders then a dropper post might not be on your custom build list but if you’re aiming to maximize off road capability for ‘big country’ riding than a dropper could well be the best thing you can spec.

“On unmetalled roads, forest fire roads and trails, this is a superb bike for covering big distances. A dropper post and the frame’s lower, sloping top-tube help when heading downhill on more challenging trails too, as you can shift around and find the balance point more easily.” Cycling Plus

Kinesis Tripster AT Plus

The AT Plus features an all-new Kinesis All Terrain carbon fork from Columbus, with extended clearance for bigger tyres and internal dynamo and brake hose routing. It also comes complete with proper cargo mounts – this is a bike designed to ride beautifully whether loaded or unloaded, but if drop-bar bikepacking is your thing you will be hard pushed to find a gravel bike that is as fun and capable when loaded up than the Tripster AT Plus.

The Tripster AT Plus is designed specifically for 1x groupsets, and works seamlessly with both electronic and mechanical gravel drivetrains. While it’s not a drop-bar MTB – with very different geometry and standards – the Tripster AT Plus is so capable that the new MTB-inspired gear ratios of Shimano’s 1×12 GRX groupsets are an ideal match. Whether tackling steep climbs, loaded adventures, or long mixed-terrain rides, this setup gives you the perfect balance of range and simplicity.

The Tripster AT Plus has triple bottle mounts, top tube mounts and fork cargo mounts for maximum bike-packing capability. And that’s what the all-new Tripster AT Plus is ALL about – maximum capability.
