Each frame is hand-painted, assembled and quality controlled at LOOK’s manufacturing facility in Burgundy, France, reflecting over 40 years of carbon manufacturing expertise and backed by a lifetime warranty.

Aerodynamics Beyond the Wind Tunnel

While wind tunnel testing remains an essential development tool, LOOK recognised that racing rarely happens in perfectly controlled conditions. The 795 Blade RS 3 was therefore developed using an extensive programme of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), wind tunnel analysis, velodrome testing and on-road validation to optimise performance across the turbulent airflow and varying wind angles encountered in real riding.

Rather than focusing on isolated frame drag, LOOK engineered the complete bike-and-rider system. Testing was carried out both with and without a rider to ensure the aerodynamic gains remained consistent regardless of body position or rider-induced airflow.

The result is a claimed saving of 15 watts at 50km/h compared with the previous generation, with those gains maintained across wind yaw angles from -15° to +15°. At the same time, the new frameset sheds 160 grams, delivering improvements in both aerodynamic efficiency and climbing performance.

Optimised Carbon Performance

Every tube profile, carbon ply and structural junction has been refined to improve the balance between stiffness, weight and ride quality.

The bottom bracket and front triangle are approximately 10% stiffer than the current WorldTour average, providing immediate power transfer under acceleration and sprint efforts. In contrast, the fork and rear triangle have been carefully tuned to introduce controlled compliance, allowing the bike to absorb road imperfections more effectively while maintaining precise steering and confident cornering at speed.

LOOK’s patented flexible seatstay design further enhances comfort and traction without compromising the sharp, responsive handling expected from a WorldTour-level race bike.

Rider Position as a Performance Advantage

Recognising that the rider contributes around three-quarters of total aerodynamic drag, LOOK placed equal emphasis on fit and ergonomics throughout the development process.

The new Aero Carbon RS cockpit is central to this philosophy. Combining seven stem lengths, three handlebar widths, up to 50mm of headset spacers and two reversible seatpost offset options creates more than 350 possible fit configurations, allowing riders to achieve an efficient aerodynamic position without sacrificing comfort or control.

Six dedicated frame geometries, each paired with its own fork offset, ensure consistent handling characteristics across the full size range, accommodating riders from approximately 155cm to 200cm.

Built for Modern Racing

The 795 Blade RS 3 has been designed around today’s wider, faster road tyres, with clearance for tyres up to 34mm. Wider tyres improve rolling efficiency, comfort and grip on real-world roads, allowing riders to carry more speed across imperfect surfaces without compromising handling.

The result is a race bike that feels equally composed on rough roads, technical descents and high-speed corners as it does during all-out attacks or bunch sprints.
