Craving some off-the-beaten-track fun or eyeing your next ultra-distance challenge? The all-new Orbea Terra is ready to conquer any adventure. Its generous tyre clearance (up to 50 mm) and vibration-damping carbon frame smooth out rough terrain so you can push harder and stay fresh longer.
With mounting points on the seat tube, top tube, down tube, and fork, plus front and rear fender compatibility, keeping gear secure and staying weather-ready is a breeze. Inside the down tube, there’s the upgraded LOCKR XXL (35% more capacity), ideal for stashing tools, snacks, or layers. Smart geometry—like a long reach, shorter stem, and a solid wheelbase—pairs control with all-day comfort. It’s fast, adaptable, and fun. Whatever path comes next, the Terra’s up for it.
Don’t just take our word for it though, hear from those who’ve been lucky enough to test out the all-new gravel adventure bike.
Gran Fondo Cycling
“The 2026 Terra is built for endurance events but will also win over bikepackers, gravel newcomers and daily riders alike. Its composed handling inspires instant confidence, its agility invites you to push harder into the corners, and the torsional stiffness turns every hard effort into grin-inducing acceleration.”

“From the first proper pedal stroke, the 2026 Terra turns the abstract idea of torsional stiffness into real-world acceleration. The Terra surges forward with every push and… Hang on! Wasn’t this supposed to be a chilled adventure bike? I just wanted to sip cortado and watch cows. But the Terra has other ideas: the steering is razor sharp, the handling nimble, and it begs you to go fast.”

“On the first steep climb, the 2026 Orbea Terra pulls off its signature move: I brace myself for the rear wheel to spin, but it never happens. Instead, the Terra digs in and powers confidently through gradients well into double digits. I expect the front end to lift, but the bike stays grounded, glued to the terrain and always under control. Even when climbing out of the saddle, it’s surprisingly difficult to get the rear to lose traction…

…At times, I almost wished for a little wheelspin – just so I’d have an excuse to stop. But even on 15% gravel chutes, the 2026 Terra refuses to give in. The extended wheelbase, longer chainstays, and frame’s impressive torsional stiffness score a 10 out of 10 here.”

Cycling News:
“…my initial impression of the Orbea Terra was extremely positive. The ride strikes a great middle ground with Orbea enhancing the Terra for adventure riding without compromising its overall performance.”

“I didn’t get the chance to ride the previous generations of Terra, however, jumping onto the bike, I found it still felt very familiar and comfortable to ride from the first pedal. The position was a well-considered middle ground of sporty, without being too aggressive, and handling was predictable and confident. The route we followed didn’t feature much in the way of technical descending, but from my brief experience, I would feel confident tackling more technical sections.”

“Although Orbea’s goal was to make the new Terra more adventure-related, it still maintains its capacity to compete. Enhance its aero by switching to a set of deep-section wheels and a more aggressive cockpit, and the Terra is still spritely and reactive enough for some gravel racing, making it a great option for ultra-distance races like Traka 360 or Unbound XL.”

“The increased internal storage capability is a massive practicality plus point for day-to-day riding, lightening your pockets and ensuring you will always have your tools and spares out on the trail. The addition of extra mounting points is a big plus point too if you plan on loading up the bike, and other than adding a few grams, it comes with no disadvantage when you aren’t using them.”

Velo:
“It’s rapid and nimble enough to work as a race bike, but versatile enough for long-distance events. And considering the number of mounts on the bike, it would work well for an adventure into the wilds, too.”

“The Orbea Terra is a bike that oozes what Orbea does best. It isn’t trying to offer the next wild idea; rather, this new gravel bike checks the boxes at a reasonable price and without fuss. Keep up the good work, you bunch of Basques!”

“It’s highly predictable in its handling. Not once was I caught out by its characteristics, something I can’t say for some gravel bikes. Jumping out of the saddle and climbing is something I often find not rewarding on a gravel bike, but the Terra never faulted in this regard. The Terra is a bike that I can see being popular with cyclists who want something to commute on during the week in style and hit the gravel on the weekend. Again, it’s a great all-rounder.”

“The Orbea Terra is arguably a good looker, too. It screams Orbea’s current design language, and I dig the large downtube with its hefty storage box, too. From what we were told, that storage box is what many are asking for and using. If so, that extra 35% capacity, which certainly looks spacious, should help you carry all you need. It should definitely fit anything from a spare tube and jacket to the grub you’ll need to keep you going. It’s a solid system.”

Escape Collective:
“…I’d say this bike has been a joy to ride. It’s more capable, more versatile, and more in line with what a growing number of people actually use gravel bikes for, which is for a bit of everything.”

“…on straight, rolling and gently twisting terrain, regardless of the shape and sogginess of the ground, the Terra really tracks well (almost like a truck) and doesn’t react to every little movement. This is particularly helpful on those long days when fatigue kicks in and concentration for line choice gradually declines. And paired with fast tyres and dry conditions, the Terra still moves fast when you want it to – it just lacks that initial snappiness that a shorter and a bit stiffer bike would offer.

But most importantly, I’ve felt comfy on the bike already on the very first rides. Much of that is due to fit, and despite the frame being longer and taller, it was pretty simple to set up to my desires, especially with MyO options.”

“To test out the tyre clearance, I’ve swapped between the stock Vittoria Terrenos and a wider setup (2.1″), and while the Terra rides very differently in each case (as you’d expect), the stability and feel remain intact. And I think that the versatility of having a relatively generous clearance is a key point I’d look for in an all-rounder gravel bike – I can fit those mtb tyres for the rougher rides and swap to smoother and faster rolling ones for the rare dry and dusty day.

As I’ve been putting this piece together, I’ve tried to at least come up with some downsides, and so far, they’ve been few and far between.”
