At the same time, the Avant is equally suited for those seeking a fast-paced ride on shorter outings, especially if they value a planted and comfortable feel.
The Orbea Avant boasts ultra-smooth welds, giving it a sculpted carbon-like appearance and clean lines that highlight the classy nature of its premium aluminium frameset.
The Avant’s balanced geometry reflects Orbea’s extensive research and experience in optimising ergonomics for varied terrain. With a slightly longer wheelbase than traditional race bikes, the Avant offers outstanding stability, easy handling, and excellent vibration absorption for enhanced comfort.
The slightly higher handlebar position promotes a more relaxed posture, reducing rider fatigue on long rides, particularly over rough roads. Meanwhile, the steep seat angle and longer top tube position the rider perfectly for attacking climbs.
Each weld on the Orbea Avant’s frame is polished smooth, giving it a sleek, refined appearance. By carefully controlling the shapes and wall thickness of the aluminium, Orbea has reduced weight, enhanced comfort, and increased strength.
Internally routed cables not only provide a clean, streamlined look but are also better protected and take the most direct route, minimising friction.
Comfort is essential, no matter who’s riding. That’s why the latest evolution of the Orbea Avant was designed with comfort in mind from every angle. The OMR carbon fork reduces weight, while its carbon construction effectively absorbs vibrations without sacrificing rigidity during braking or hard cornering. With clearance for tyres up to 35mm (32mm with a mudguard), the Avant delivers confident handling, even on rougher roads.
The Avant is loaded with practical features to make every ride easier. Its mounting points accommodate any market-standard mudguards, ensuring versatile weather protection.
Additionally, the optional made-to-measure Service Box lets you leave the saddle bag at home. It offers secure, sway-free storage for essentials like tubes, CO2 cartridges, tire levers, and house keys.
