WHAT MAKES DIEM UNIQUE?
Performance
Diamond Glide is the patented frame design at the heart of the Diem that allows the frame to flex vertically, absorbing bumps and giving a smooth ride on rougher roads.
Wider tyres, and the use of carbon fibre to manufacture the Diem’s forks, helps absorb vibrations, save weight and add precision to steering and braking.
The Diem’s alloy frame is light and tough enough to shrug off life’s inevitable knocks and bumps. Advanced manufacturing techniques have allowed Orbea to enhance the design with invisible welds, reduce weight, and optimised frame rigidity.
New geometry also helps to keep the weight low and centred meaning fast reflexes and inherent stability.
Safety
Every Diem has a built-in, high-tech lighting system which automatically switches on to keep you safe and light the way ahead. The front beam turns on automatically at night to increase your visibility even if the streets are dark. The wrap-around lights make sure you are always visible, day or night, even from the side. The reactive rear lights brighten to announce braking.
The Diem’s integrated Spin Block system prevents the handlebars from rotating too far, making it much easier to load and unload your bike. No matter which model of Diem you choose you can count on robust, high quality tyres, with internal reinforcing to protect against punctures and reflective strips on the sidewalls to make sure you are seen.
Hidden on Diem’s motor cover is a space to mount an Airtag if you want. You can mount an AirTag or any compatible tracker.
Full Power, Intelligent Control
The 630 Wh battery, integrated into the downtube uses the latest cell technology to pack more charge into a smaller space. That means around 150 Km, or 9 hours, between charges meaning that many riders will need to charge their bike less than once a week. A typical charge takes around 4 hours.
As one of the world’s leading ebike motor manufacturers, Shimano’s EP motors offer simple, reliable service day after day. The subtle remote is easy to control without moving your hands from the bars. The integrated LED lights tell you which assistance mode you are in.
Everything You Need, And Nothing More
The low-slung frame makes it easy to mount and dismount, adding security, even if you have to come to an unexpected stop. The integrated kickstand pivots from the centre of the bike and also integrates neatly when not in use.
Integrating cables and switches in the handlebar means everything you need is right at your fingertips so you don’t have to move your hands from the controls. Less cables means less distractions and gives more space for accessories such as your phone or the front rack.
Diem’s one piece stem and handlebar is designed to make mounting your mobile phone secure and easy with the integrated SP Connect system. The top tube power outlet offers a USB-C connection for charging your mobile phone on route.
