The Orbea Ordu brings together aerodynamics, low weight, precise handling and rider-focused ergonomics in a beautifully balanced package. It is a bike designed for athletes who want to perform at their best, and once you have ridden it, it quickly becomes clear how much confidence the right equipment can give you.
Designing a top-level time trial or triathlon bike is never just about chasing gains in one area. Improvements in aerodynamics, stiffness or weight often come at the expense of the others. With the Ordu, Orbea focused on achieving the right balance, while also looking beyond those traditional factors to improve overall rider efficiency.
More than 2,500 hours of development went into refining the latest Ordu. Every element of the frame, fork and cockpit was carefully analysed to reduce drag and improve performance. The result is Orbea’s fastest Ordu to date, and a bike that performs consistently across a wide range of courses and distances.
The frame has been engineered to deliver stiffness where it matters most for power transfer, while introducing controlled compliance in key areas to improve comfort and handling. This balance is crucial. A highly aerodynamic bike only delivers its full benefit if the rider can stay comfortable, controlled and efficient over the entire course. All models are constructed from Orbea’s top level ultra hi-modulus carbon fibre for the ultimate in performance.
Fit and adjustability are also central to the Ordu’s design. The cockpit offers a wide range of adjustment, allowing riders to fine-tune their position easily to suit their flexibility, riding style or race regulations. This adaptability not only ensures comfort, but also helps maximise performance by enabling a more efficient riding position.
Every Ordu frame or complete bike comes equipped with an aero bottle and cage, along with a downtube storage box. The storage box can be removed when needed to ensure full UCI compliance.
The Orbea Ordu is aimed at serious triathletes looking to step up to a faster, more refined machine, as well as elite riders who need a UCI-compliant time trial bike. It is also the platform of choice for several Orbea-supported professional teams, underlining its credentials at the highest level of competition.
MyO CUSTOM COLOURS & OPTIONS
Orbea’s MyO (MyOrbea) programme enables riders to personalize their bikes to an extent that is unique in the bike industry. All Orbea Ordu models are available with a fully custom coloured frameset at no extra cost – painted and assembled entirely at Orbea’s headquarters in Mallabia, in the heart of the Basque Country. MyO coloured bikes usually take a little longer to arrive than a standard colour, for obvious reasons, but the result will be unique to you.
The on-line MyO custom design app is straightforward and slick, offering a massive number of the frame colour combinations, and is great fun to use.
The MyO programme also offers a limited number of component options, but for individual tailoring or full bespoke builds please contact us here at Epic Cycles as we are able to offer virtually unlimited customisation options.
