Our Verdict
Orbea have succeeded in creating an exceedingly fast, nimble, and aggressive gravel bike, whilst maintaining a level of comfort and control that is hard to come by in speed focused machines like this. When you stamp on the pedals the feedback is immediate, but the bike stays planted and stable.
With a lighter, stronger, OMX carbon frame and fork, clearance for 45mm tires, and a more aerodynamic, race-tuned position, Orbea have made huge leaps forward with their all-new Terra Race.
With a host of features, such as the aero OQUO 50mm carbon wheelset, size-tuned stiffness, and vibration damping rear triangle, the Terra Race has been performance optimised in every area.

The Terra Race starts with OMX – Orbea’s most advanced high-modulus carbon layup. Laser-cut and precisely arranged high-modulus fibres deliver maximum stiffness where it counts and trim weight where it doesn’t. Weighing just 910g, the frame is 300g lighter than previous designs while maintaining a stiff, responsive, race-ready platform. The matching 425g OMX fork keeps the front end tight and agile – ideal for fast, technical courses.

The Terra Race is shaped for the wind, featuring fully internal cable routing, a sleek integrated carbon Aero Cockpit, and a hidden seatpost clamp inspired by Orbea’s road racing platform. The vibration-damping rear triangle boosts control without muting trail feedback. Engineered to absorb high-frequency chatter, it keeps the rear wheel firmly planted during hard efforts – channeling your power directly into forward motion, even on rough terrain.
With racing in its DNA, the Terra Race features Gravel Racing Geometry – a performance-driven design built for stability at speed, precise handling, and a more aerodynamic rider position. Inspired by Orbea’s road racing heritage and re-engineered for gravel, it combines a lower stack, longer reach, and optimized bottom bracket height to deliver confident control on fast, loose terrain.
Riders can fine-tune their fit with a range of cockpit options, including flared gravel bars, integrated aero setups, multiple stem lengths, crank sizes, and a 15 mm riser bar for added height and control. Whatever your position, the Terra Race lets you lock it in.
Power delivery is just as critical as weight and aerodynamics. With precisely tuned frame stiffness, the Orbea Terra Race converts every pedal stroke into instant acceleration. It feels sharp and reactive under load – whether you’re sprinting out of a corner or grinding up a gravel climb. MyO CUSTOM COLOURS & OPTIONS
Orbea’s MyO (MyOrbea) programme enables riders to personalize their bikes to an extent that is unique in the bike industry. All Terra Race models are available with a fully custom coloured frameset at no extra cost – painted and assembled entirely at Orbea’s headquarters in Mallabia, in the heart of the Basque Country. MyO coloured bikes usually take a little longer to arrive than a standard colour, for obvious reasons, but the result will be unique to you. And with MyO. The Terra Race is also available in three different stock colors: Frozen Concrete, Spaceship Green, Sunset Carbon view.
The on-line MyO custom design app is straightforward and slick, offering a massive number of the frame colour combinations, and is great fun to use.
