We run a small number of demo bikes each year, giving you the opportunity of properly test riding some of our most popular road models.

How does it work?

We believe that to be meaningful your test ride needs to be more than a quick spin up and down the road – you need to be able to ride the bike for a decent length of time to get a realistic feel for how it handles and performs, so each demo bike will only be booked out for one test ride per day so that you are not rushed in any way.

To book a test ride you will need to make an appointment over the phone or by email, and in order to prepare the bike for you we require at least 24 hours’ notice for all bookings.

A test ride fee of £50 will be taken at the time of booking, which will be deducted from the cost of any new bike purchased within 3 months of the demo ride (excludes eBay purchases and ex-demo, used/part-exchanged bikes).

All demo bikes are professionally set up for you immediately prior to your test ride – please expect this part to take at least 30 mins.

If you are new to the area, we are very happy to provide route guidance for you, as we have some great riding right from our doorstep.

What Do I Need To Bring With Me?

In addition to riding clothes, shoes and helmet you will need to bring a debit or credit card and photo identification (Passport or Drivers licence).

All test rides require a £1 payment to be taken on the day by credit/debit card (the card must be in the hirer’s name and verified by chip and pin in-store) as a security check. Both the debit/credit card and photo identification will be retained by the store whilst the test ride takes place.

All bikes are setup with a choice of flat, SPD, SPD-SL or Look Keo pedals. If you ride any other type of pedals please bring them along with you and we will fit them for you. They will also be fitted with bottle cages, but not bottles, so you will need to bring those along too if needed.

The rules of test rides are as follows:

• Our test ride fee is £50 and for that you can try up to 2 bikes in one day.
• Test rides are available from 10:00am onwards and test bikes must be returned to us by 3pm, which allows plenty of time for an extensive and thorough test ride. Our earliest test ride appointment is 9:30, with the first 30 minutes allocated to setting the bike up for you.
• The test ride fee is taken at the time of booking and is non-refundable, but if you subsequently buy a new bike from us within 3 months of the test ride (excludes eBay purchases and ex-demo, used/part-exchanged bikes) we will deduct your £50 test ride fee from the cost of the bike.
• We take a £1 card payment on the day of your test ride as a second security check; this is refunded at the end of your test ride.
• In lending you a demo bike all insurance and liability for that bike passes to you on collection. You will be liable in full for the cost of the bike if it is lost or damaged during your test ride.
• Bikes can only be test ridden by riders aged 18 years and over.
• Bikes must be ridden safely, within the bike and rider’s capabilities. All laws must be obeyed.
