The Granturismo SL inherits several design elements from its sibling, the Wilier Filante SL. Its aerodynamically profiled head tube, aero carbon seatpost, and dropped seat stays enhance performance, while features like the flattened top tube and subtly rounder down tube are designed to absorb road vibrations, ensuring a smoother ride without sacrificing the Granturismo’s signature Italian styling.

Wilier has carefully blended the carbon fibres in the Granturismo to strike the perfect balance between responsiveness and comfort. Stiffer fibres in the bottom bracket and chain stays maximize power transfer, while more elastic fibres in other areas deliver a smooth, forgiving ride.

The new UDH mech hanger makes it possible to choose freely between conventional and SRAM derailleurs with the new T-Type interface – it also makes finding a spare a breeze as UDH hangers can be found in any good road bike store.

The generous tyre clearance allows for tyres up to 38mm in width, effectively turning the Granturismo into a true all-road bike. Wider tyres further enhance comfort and traction if you are riding typical UK back lanes, while also opening up lighter dirt roads and unpaved bike tracks.

With integrated cables that run through the super thin bearings and inside the cockpit, the Wilier Granturismo SL not only performs beautifully but also looks sleek and streamlined.

The Wilier Granturismo’s geometry continues the theme of a a fast but more forgiving race bike.  It’s not laid back and cruisy – it’s still at its heart a race bike, but it is more relaxed than other Wilier race bikes, with a shorter reach and higher front end, to leave you fresher at the end of a long day in the saddle.
